Poetry Time at Goethe Abansoro with Asangba Reginald Taluah and Emma Ofosua

"There is May in books forever..." ― James Henry Leigh Hunt
It’s May and this month's Poetry Time at Goethe Abansoro will certainly be one for the books! April brought us both heart-warming and thought-provoking poetry and conversation, and we anticipate that there will be even more to enjoy this time around. We once again have the privilege of bringing together adept poets for a delightful night of reading and discussion on Wednesday 11th April 2022, at 7 PM GMT at Goethe-Institut in Cantonments, Accra.
We're bringing together practiced poets for a thrilling evening of themed poetry reading and discussion that will seek to explore the poets; thoughts about their works.
Asangba Reginald Taluah is an academic and poet. He holds a Ph.D. in Literary Linguistics from the University of Cologne. His works have appeared in both national and international anthologies. He was one of the recipients of the Castello de Duino International Poetry Prize for his poem "Mother" in 2014. His research interests include: Oral Traditions, Comparative Literature, Literary Criticism and English Education.
Emma Ofosua is a Ghanaian born and raised creative entrepreneur (founder of Tuniq Africa Ltd, producers of Nightline -- a unisex comfortable sleep wear) and the author of her debut I wish you courage in the night season. She is a freestyle poet who delivers her poetry in this unique style.
Agana-Nsiire Agana is a Ghanaian writer and academic currently based in Scotland, where he is pursuing a PhD in Divinity at the University of Edinburgh. Agana has published poetry and short stories locally and internationally, and is currently working on his first novel. Agana draws on an eclectic educational background spanning zoology, software, business, theology, philosophy, and history to explore themes of humanity, spirituality, and meaning in the world. His most recent work appears in Resilience, a literary collection by the Writers Project of Ghana.
We would love to have you attend in person, and you are also more than welcome to join us online and share in the experience.
