T J Benson, Folarin Philip Banigbe and others to read in Accra

Writers Project of Ghana in collaboration with Page and Palette, Nigeria present a weekend of literary readings and discussions with T. J. Benson, Tolu Daniel, and Folarin Philip Banigbe. The readings will take place at Jamrock Restaurant and Jamestown Café in Accra.

Folarin Philip Banigbe is the author of the book, Abduction Chronicles, which details the true account of his kidnapping from home on his wedding anniversary.

This riveting account shows one man's will to survive in the face of adversity. He is a feature writer, blogger, and publisher of the P. H. Microscope.

T. J. Benson writes short speculative fiction and is the author of We Won't Fade into Darkness and Rituals, A Chapbook of Photography. He is a Nigerian writer and creative photographer whose work has appeared in several online journals like Jalada Africa, Expound and Bakwa magazine, in print magazines like Harvard's Transition Magazine, Saraba magazine Transitions issue, SSDA Migrations issue and more recently, Catapult.

T. J. Benson was first runner up for the 2016 Short Story Day Africa Prize themed 'Migration' and a two time writer-in-residence at the Ebedi Writers Residency Nigeria. His recent collection of short stories was published by Parresia Books after being shortlisted for the Saraba Manuscript Prize in 2016.

Join us on Friday 28th June 2019 as we host Folarin Philip Banigbe at Jamrock Restaurant and on Saturday 29th June 2019 for a conversation between T. J. Benson and Tolu Daniel at Jamestown Cafe.
