Author of the Month: Azanne Kofi Akainyah

For the May edition of our monthly reading series, organised in collaboration with our partners Goethe-Institut Ghana, we are proud to feature lawyer and author Azanne Kofi Akainyah reading from his recent memoir, Seven Stories and More: Family, Ethnicity and Politics in the Life of an African Lawyer.
The author, Azanne Kofi Akainyah, was raised in Ashanti New Town until aged eleven when he was sent to school in England. After Ardingly College he read law at Cambridge University and was called to the bar by the Middle Temple. He returned to Ghana and worked as an Assistant State Attorney and in private practice. He returned to England following the murder of the high court judges but has been resident in Ghana since 2005.
Join us at the Goethe Institute on Wednesday, 31st March 2023 at 7 PM for a reading and conversation with the author, Azanne Kofi Akainyah.
