The 2022 Mo Issa Writing Workshops

Writers Project of Ghana announces the opening of applications for the 2022 edition of the Mo Issa Writing Workshops, which will be held online for four weeks starting from 4th September 2022.
Organised by Writers Project of Ghana and sponsored by The Authenticity Project, the Mo Issa Writing Workshops are an annual writing workshop series with the aim of helping new writers improve their skill.
The workshops are open to writers who are working on stories (fiction and/or non-fiction) and seek to improve on their work. The deadline for receiving applications is Sunday, 28th August, 2022 and the workshop sessions will start on 4th September, 2022. The sessions will run for four weeks and will all be held online.
Over the four week period of the workshops, there will be weekly one-on-one sessions with the facilitators (weekdays) and a teaching and discussion session on Saturday mid-mornings.
Writers working on fiction and/or non-fiction are encouraged to apply. The workshop sessions will involve the assessment of individual scripts and cover (a) Creative concepts and content (b) Structure, language, setting, dialogue (c) Editing and (d) Rewriting the manuscript.
Only five places are available for participants, and the assessments are carried out on a first-come basis. Therefore, interested persons are encouraged to apply early.
GUIDELINES:
The submitted works will be the primary material used during the workshops.
